Happy New (Chinese) Year!!!

Il sole di questi ultimi giorni è stato un meraviglioso tonico. Io in genere preferisco le stagioni fredde a quelle calde, i colori dorati delle foglie in autunno in un pomeriggio tiepido, l'aria fredda e pungente delle mattine d'inverno, la nebbia che dà un tocco di mistero e la neve che attutisce i rumori della città. L'estate e la primavera, invece, per me portano troppo caldo. Però dopo tanto tempo che il cielo era coperto, la luce di queste mattine non poteva che mettermi di buonumore (anche perchè il freddo è rimasto tutto!)
E allora... che voglia di nuovi inizi, di nuovi progetti, di colori freschi e primaverili!

The sun that is shining in these last days has been really a tonic for me. I usually prefer the cold seasons, the golden autumn colours in a warm afternoon, the cold and stingy air in the winter mornings, the fog, which gives a touch of mystery to everything and the snow, that muffles all the city noises. Summer and spring, instead, to me are just too much hot. But, after so many days in which the sky was covered with dark clouds, the light of these mornings has brought to me happiness (also because the temperature did not rise much...)
And so, how I long for new beginnings, for new projects, for new fresh spring colours!

Questa settimana inizia l'Anno del Cavallo per i cinesi. Ho pensato... cavallo... primavera... colori chiari....qualche giro sul web di ispirazione.... Ed ecco le ultimissime novità dal laboratorio del Gatto Arancione: le collane My Little Pony!!
Per anni ho avuto una collezione di circa 200 di questi dolcissimi cavallini colorati. C'è ancora in effetti, solo che per motivi di spazio, ora è tutta in un paio di scatoloni in soffitta. E queste collane mi ricordano i giorni in cui ero bambina e ci giocavo (non c'è un po' di quegli anni dell'infanzia sopito in ciascuno di noi? che aspetta solo l'occasione per fare capolino con il suo bagaglio di ricordi?).

This week starts the Chinese Year of the Horse. I thought a bit.... horse....spring....soft colours..... a little of searching on the web and that's it! From the Lab of the Orange Cat here you are the latest news: My Little Pony Necklaces.
I have owned for years a collection of about 200 of these sweet colourful ponies. I still own it, but for lacking of space, it is in a couple of boxes in th attic. And these necklaces remind me of the days in which, as a child I used to play with them (isn't there in all of us a bit of those childhood days waiting for the right moment to pop up with all the memories it brings???)
