Per me Austria significa Klimt.
Finally, after trying many options and ideas of which I wasn't fully convinced, I finished my Lady Austria (if I think that the last time I went there was 2006... I'm terribly late, as usual).
To me Austria means Klimt, maybe because both the times I went there was to visit Wien. I know I miss much of the country, but as you may well imagine, my heart beats faster among the cahotic spicy perfumes of a middle-eastern souk rather than between lines of picture-perfect cottages with red flowers at the windows. Too perfect to seem to me almost artificial. Where's the vibrant humanity?
So, Klimt. The first time I went to Wien I was struck by a beautiful exhibition on Klimt works in Shloss Belvedere and I literally got lost among the panels decorated with golden decorations, a brilliant mix between painting and jewellery making.

So, here's my little homage, with which I tried to recreate the atmosphere of the Belle Epoque.
The gown is made of an orange chiffon strapless bodice and main skirt covered with a tulle printed with golden spirals (the Tree of Life?)
On the overskirt I embroidered, one by one, a lot of decorative elements with beads and mini sequins, to enrich the pattern and fill the spaces, as the artist did.
