Dolls of the World - Lady Jordan

Ovviamente era da un bel po' che la mia piccola Lady Jordan era pronta e finita... ma altrettanto ovviamente la mia pigrizia e le tante cose da fare di quest'ultimo periodo continuavano a farmi dire "dopo, più tardi..."
Oggi mentre boccheggio sotto al ventilatore (non ci penso minimamente ad uscire con un caldo e un'afa come questa), oltre a sistemare alcune cose che aspettano da molto, vi regalo questo post dedicato ad una lady che mi piace molto molto molto.

Obviously it's been a while since my little Lady Jordan was ready, but my laziness and many things to do have interferred as obviously making me say "later, later...."
Today, as I am suffering under the fan (I can't even think of going out with this desert-hot air and humidity...), while putting some order in my things I want to share with you this beauty which I like very very much.


Lady Jordan indossa un abito costituito da un top in shangtung di seta verde-oro e una gonna lunga e aderente in cotone pesante acquistato là, con motivi di ispirazione beduina sui toni del verde, rosso, arancio, oro e nero.
Il top, che lascia la vita scoperta, è sostenuto da spalline che si uniscono dietro al collo, in cordoncino ritorto oro e abbellito da un pendente circolare in oro (beh, color oro!). Lo stesso cordone arrotolato su sé stesso forma la cintura alla quale ho appeso tanti pendenti uguali, per dare un tocco "tribale".

Lady Jordan wears a dress made of a top in golden-green silk shangtung and a long skirt in a cotton I bought there with bedouin-inspired patterns in the tones of green, red, gold, orange and black.
The top, which does not cover the waist is held up by a golden ribbon closing behind her neck ad decorated with a circular golden charm. The same ribbon, twisted on itself has been used to create the belt to which I hung many identical golden charms to give her a "tribal" touch.

Per lei ho lavorato molto sugli accessori più che sull'abito, che in effetti è molto semplice, iniziando dalla cintura e proseguendo con questi bracciali realizzati con una filigrana dorata a cui ho appeso una catena con maglie esagonali e sbalzate, sempre in oro.

I worked more on accessories for her, rather than on the dress, which is quite simple. Starting with her belt and going to the arm bracelets, which are made of a gold filigree to which I hung a long golden chain with worked exagonal mails.

Indossa inoltre un'acconciatura realizzata con diverse catene dorate che incorniciano il volto  e orecchini pendenti in cristalli sfaccettati verdi e rondelle. Indossa un velo rosso che è appeso ad una filigrana decorata con scristalli sfaccettati verdi e perline color ambra.

She wears a headdress realized with multiple golden chains that frame her face and drop earrings in dark green faceted crystals and rondelles. She also wears a red long veil dangling from a golden round filigree decorated with green faceted crystals and amber glass beads.

Infine ecco un paio di sandali per camminare tra le sabbie del deserto del Wadi Rum e degli slip in pizzo rosa, decorati da un fiocchettino.

At last, here you are a pair of sandals, to walk on the sands of the Wadi Rum desert and pink lace panties, decorated with a little bow.
