Mi aspettano settimane di fuoco. In questi giorni in cui ho trascurato il mio povero blog, nonostante i buoni propositi, ho iniziato a porre le basi per una futura possibile svolta di vita (in campo lavorativo!). Il futuro è assolutamente incerto, ma in questi mesi ho riflettuto parecchio e ho potuto finalmente fare chiarezza sui miei obiettivi e le mie aspirazioni. Il cambiamento mi spaventa, e molto, ma forse sono in una condizione fortunata perchè il cambiamento è in un certo senso obbligato. Vedremo cosa ci porterà la nuova stagione. Speriamo che i semi che seminerò quest'inverno la prossima primavera sboccino in fiori meravigliosi!
Così, ho pensato che oggi vi porto con me in un meraviglioso angolino di Milano: ua zona piena di bellissimi edifici decorati secondo lo stile
Art Nouveau. La mia amica Francesca mi diceva che ha letto una bellissima descrizione di Milano, che rispecchia pianemente il cartattere della mia città: ha una bellezza simile a quella dei giardini giapponesi, riservata e nascosta, curata con orgoglio nell'intimità della casa, non esibita con sfacciataggine e cattivo gusto.
La nostra meta di oggi è un piccolo quartiere alle spalle del famosissimo corso Buenos Aires, proprio in fondo, vicino alla fermata di Porta Venezia. Basta spostarsi un po' dalla confusione chiassosa dello shopping low cost milanese per entrare in un angolo inaspettato, elegante e sorprendente.
Tutta la bellezza del luogo è rappresentata dal palazzo di via Malpighi 3: guardate che decorazioni! Che colori, che forme! Chi se lo aspetterebbe a Milano?? La facciata è diventata una tela, ogni spazio libero dagli elementi strutturali (le finestre, il cornicione...) è diventato spazio da decorare. Le piastelle colorate avvolgono l'occhio di chi guarda questa casa e lasciano increduli.

Proseguendo lungo la stessa via si trova un'altro palazzo finemente decorato, questa volta invece con il materiale di costruzione, il cemento. Sulla facciata si aprono medaglioni, si rincorrono figure, si avvolgono rami e foglie. Uno spettacolo. All'interno poi si apre un cortile chiuso da un bel cancello in ferro battuto decorato con rose e volute (guardate anche solo la luce dell'ingresso) e un palazzo signorile in cui si ripropongono gli stessi elementi decorativi sulla balaustra delle scale, sui soffitti, sulle porte interne... Uno degli appartamenti è visitabile su appuntamento: già segnato in agenda!

E poi ancora, camminando con il naso all'insù tra le viette intorno, ecco che lo stile del quartiere è continuamente sottolineato dalle mille forme dei balconi in ferro battuto, che riprendono i motivi caratteristici dell'art nouveau, più floreali e morbidi, ma anche dell'art déco, dello stesso periodo, un po' più geometrica e squadrata.

Abbiamo camminato parecchio, oggi, anche se non sembra, così vi lascio a riposare un po' i piedi stanchi, ma non troppo: la prossima volta andiamo a visitare un altro splendido palazzo liberty: quello che ospita l'acquario civico....

I think I'm going towards a very rough time!. In these last days in
which I neglected my poor blog, contrary to my good intentions, I
started to build a possible future change of life (only in the working
field!). My future is completely uncertain, but the spring and summer
months gave me the chance to think a lot and to set clearly some of my
goals and ambitions. Changing scares me a lot but maybe I'm in a lucky
situation: I can only change, I have no other way. Let's see what the
new season brings and if the seeds I'm sowing this winter will bloom
into wonderful flower next spring.
So I thought to take you with me today in a wonderful little
corner of Milan: an area full of Art Nouveau decorated buildings. My
friend Francesca told me she once read a beautiful description of Milan,
which reflects completely the style of my city: it has a beauty
similar to the japanese gardens, hidden and discrete, cultivated with
pride in the intimacy of the home, and not exhibited with bad taste.
Our
destination today is a small neighborough just beyond the famous "corso
Buenos Aires", at the end, next to the metro station of Porta Venezia.
It's enough to move a little away from the noisy chaos of the Milan
low-cost shopping centre to find out an unexpected, elegant and
surprising corner.
The beauty of this place is summarized by the building in via Malpighi 3: just look at the decorations! Look at the colours, at the shapes! Who can expect this in Milan?? The façade had transformed into a canvas, all the space free from the elements such as the windows or the frame roof has become space to be decorated. The coloured tiles embrace the eye of who's admiring this building and leave him unbelieving.
Proceeding on the same street there's another finely decorated building, but this time the artist has played with the constructing material: cement. On the façade there are medallions, figures follow each other, branches and leaves do embrace one another. Wonderful. Inside there is a courtyard closed by a beautiful fence made of iron and decorated by roses and curves (just look at the lamp in the entrance!) and an elegant palace in which the same decorative elements are used again on the stairs, on the ceilings, on the wooden doors... One of the apartments can be visited by appointment only: it's already in my short term agenda!
And then, walking with your nose upwards, in the small streets all around, the style of this neighborough is underlined by the many shapes of the iron balconies, some in the art nouveau style, with flowers and soft curves, some instead in the art déco style, of the same period but much more geometric.
We have walked a lot, haven't we?Although we don't feel it, it's time to give some rest to our tired feet. Not too much, because next time we are going to visit another splendid liberty building: the ome which hosts the Milan aquarium.
